Whitstable Produce Store has reached the finals of the 2014 Kent Life/Kent on Sunday Food and Drink Awards. The Store opened in December 2013 and has become a very popular destination with Whitstable regulars and visitors alike, selling products and produce from over twenty Kent makers and suppliers – including many Produced in Kent members. The Store is nominated in the Newcomer of the Year category and reached the finals through public vote. Supplier Little Stour Orchard – a multiple winner at the 2014 Taste of Kent Awards – is also in the Kent Life finals. Owner Steve Jones said “We are delighted to have reached the finals of these awards. As with the Taste of Kent Awards, they are great publicity and a chance to get feedback from customers at the same time.”
