The Milk House is village pub in Sissinghurst with a reputation for great food. We pride ourselves on our menus, which change with the seasons to make the most of the freshest produce from local suppliers.
As our business continues to grow, we’re looking for talented and enthusiastic chefs of all abilities to join our kitchen team. If you’re a strong team player who’s prepared to work hard in a busy environment, we’d love to hear from you.

ESSENTIAL QUALITIES
- Experience of working in a fast-paced kitchen
- Appreciation for freshly-prepared local food
- Passion for ingredients and flavour
- An eye for detail
- Interest in learning new skills
- Initiative, attention to detail and a sense of humour
- Transport, as this role may be split between multiple sites
ABOUT US
Situated in Sissinghurst, one of the most picturesque corners of Kent, The Milk House is a village pub with a Dining Room and four beautiful bedrooms. Alongside a seasonal Dining Menu, The Milk House offers a range of classic pub fare and a light Grazing Menu. On Sunday there’s a choice of delicious roasts and there are wholesome choices for children too.
Outside, our sun-soaked terrace is home to a traditional wood-fired pizza oven serving homemade pizzas topped with local charcuterie, cheese, seasonal vegetables and fresh herbs.
Since opening in 2013, The Milk House has attracted national press coverage in publications including the Telegraph, Sunday Times, Evening Standard, Condé Nast Traveller, Delicious magazine and BBC Good Food magazine. The pub won Newcomer of the Year in the Kent Life Food & Drink Awards 2014, was a finalist in last year’s Taste of Kent Awards and is listed in the Michelin Guide.
