Job Brief:
We are looking for a skilled Machine Operator to set up maintain and operate machinery in our cold press juice company. This role you will need to be reliable and able to work with attention to detail following food safety practises and health and safety standards. Food manufacturing experience is key for this role as this is a high care product needing that attention to detail. Being a team player is also essential as operation will be carried out in quite a small environment with other work colleagues.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
-Complete machine start up checks before operating
-Ensure all work is carries out following the companies health and safety policy and procedures.
-Assisting in basic machine maintenance duties
-Take active role in product change over and start up
-Report all faults without delays to production managers to ensure engineers are called out to address issues
-To ensure that the highest standards of hygiene and house keeping are maintained in all areas – operating a clean as you go mentality
-To carry out efficient and effective clean downs daily.
-Labelling and moving finished products into storage
Qualifications and Personal qualities:
–Food manufacturing background
-Machine operation experience
-Physically fit/strong
-Team player
-Good Communication skills
-Good attention to detail to be able to work in a fast paced environment
-Able to work shifts
-Positive ‘can do’ attitude
-Ideally able to drive or walk to work
-Hard working and reliable
-An ability to follow clear instructions
Job Type: Full Time (Shifts between Monday-Friday and Sundays 6am to 6pm)
Pay per hour: £7.50
Overtime: £8.00
