Thierry Larivière, an English teacher at the Guy Mollet High School, France, organized an Indian cooking workshop for students, run by chef Paul Babra, Canterbury.

Arras. ” A language course should not pass only through books but through the five senses. The workshop was conducted in English, and there will be a restitution work in the autumn” said Thierry Lariviere. ” This is the fourth time that Paul Babra has visited us, I met him in Artois Expo during a gastronomy salon where India was in the spotlight, this is how the idea germinated!”.

On the menu: basmati rice, chicken curry, pineapple yoghurt sauce, Indian cheese …

” I eat with my eyes!” Paul said,”food, it must be full of tastes and colours! In India, all students learn to cook in high school, and we love French food! That’s how I discovered onion soup! Now it’s a pleasure to teach my culture to French students!”
