On the 7th and 21st March we have our Shepherd Neame Evening Tour and Ale Sampler’s
Supper event. These are very popular, and feature both Kentish Ale and a two course supper using local ingredients.
I have attached copy and a picture – would be great if this could be featured in the newsletter. I also attach the menu for the evenings (this changes seasonally).
Full details can be found on our website: http://www.shepherdneame.co.uk/tours-functions/events/evening-tour-ale-samplers-supper
These Ale Sampler’s evenings run every couple of weeks, most months of the year. The dates for the next few months are as follows:
Fri 7th Mar, Fri 21st Mar, Fri 4th Apr, Fri 18th Apr, Fri 9th May, Fri 23rd May, Fri 6th Jun, Fri 20th Jun (all 7.00pm) – could these be listed on your events page?
We also have Beer & Food Matching evenings, six course beer dinners, the first of which is on 3rd May. http://www.shepherdneame.co.uk/tours-functions/events/beer-food-evenings.
As well as a special Father’s Day event in June http://www.shepherdneame.co.uk/tours-functions/events/fathers-day-brewery-tour-and-sunday-lunch
Enjoy a guided tour of Shepherd Neame, Britain’s oldest brewery, and then delight in an excellent two-course dinner with our Evening Brewery Tour and Ale Samplers’ Supper.
On arrival you will meet your guide and set off for the 80 minute tour where you will see how we produce our award-winning Kentish ales and speciality lagers. Visit the brewhouse, see the oak mash tuns, taste some malted barley, smell the hops and learn how our beers are created – from barley to bottle.
Afterwards you will enjoy a tutored beer tasting and a two-course home-cooked supper, made using fresh local ingredients, served in the Visitor Centre bar. Of course, there’s also time for a pint or two with your meal!

The tour itself lasts approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes and includes several of the brewery’s historic buildings, which have a number of steep staircases and uneven surfaces. We must therefore advise that the tour may be difficult for infirm visitors and is not suitable for wheelchair users.
