All aboard for this year’s Santa Specials at the Kent & East Sussex Railway
Take a magical steam train journey on Tenterden’s Steam Railway this Christmas to meet Santa on board the ever popular Santa Specials. Tickets will start from £17.00 and the Santa Special Service will operate on 3, 4, 10, 11, 17,18, 22, 23 and 24 December 2016.
On arrival at Tenterden Station visitors will be greeted by the sound of a traditional pipe organ and will see a beautiful Victorian carousel with prancing horses just waiting to take everyone on a magical ride. Rides are unlimited and free to everyone travelling on the Santa Specials.
Once on board, enjoy a relaxing one hour ten minute journey on the festively decorated Santa Special, as it makes its way to the North Pole! All the children will get to meet Santa on board the train so make sure to look out for his elf helpers with their sacks full of lovely presents. Every child receives an age appropriate gift from Santa himself whilst teenagers (13 to 15) receive a scrummy box of festive chocolates. Everyone receives complimentary refreshments too – a mince pie & choice of soft or alcoholic drink for adults and a soft drink & chocolate bar for children.
Back at Tenterden station, the fun continues with a Giant Snow Globe, where everyone can pose for a free colour family photograph as a memento of their special day.
The licensed restaurant will be serving Christmas lunches and other tempting dishes or why not enjoy a delicious local hot dog or burger from the BBQ.
For a special treat, consider booking an individual compartment – perfect for a private gathering with family and friends! There are Standard Class Family Compartments (available for up to 8 people) or, for an extra special experience, there are First Class Family Compartments (which can accommodate up to 6) offer larger seats, enhanced refreshments and individually named presents from Santa for each child!
All tickets include a train ride with Santa, a present for each child, on-board refreshments, unlimited rides on the Victorian carousel and a free family photograph in the Snow Globe.
