Thomas the Tank Engine will be pulling into Tenterden Station on 25 and 26 July 2015, and he’s bringing some of his favourite friends too!
2015 will mark 70 years since the birth of The Railway Series by the Rev. W. Awdry and the release of its first book, The Three Railway Engines. The author will be at the railway on Saturday and Sunday to sign copies of his books.
Come and meet the Fat Controller and take a ride on Annie & Clarabel behind Thomas at Tenterden station. Look out for a naughty diesel engine and the troublesome trucks.
Everyone can experience an enchanting 1 hour 10 minute return steam train ride through picturesque countryside between Tenterden and Northiam Station.
Watch thrilling adventures with Thomas in ‘Muddy Matters’ on the big screen TV. Join in Thomas & Friends station scenarios and have fun in the ‘Imagination Station’.
Don’t miss all the activities with Uncle Myles, Charlie the Clown and Billy the Magic Rabbit. There will also be face painting, roundabout rides and a bouncy castle.
The Fat Controller will open the gates at 10am each day and trains depart from Tenterden at 10.20am, 10.55am, 11.50am, 12.25pm, 1.20pm, 1.55 and 2.50pm. Please arrive approx 30 minutes before your train departs.

Tickets are £17 for adults, children over 18 months to 15 years inclusive are £13 and a family ticket for 2 adults and 2 children are £51.50. First Class has a supplement of £4 per person. Babes in arms under 18 months are carried free of charge, providing they do not occupy a seat.
Children each receive a free sticker and A ‘Day Out With Thomas’ certificate to take home.
Tenterden Station Restaurant offers a choice of freshly prepared dishes.
