We have four things to tell you about. Firstly, we are in the top three of the Taste of Kent Awards for Kent Beer of the Year 2016, so a big thank you to all of you who voted for us. In February Good Health and the other two finalists will be subjected to a panel of specialist judges who will be will be looking for taste, demonstration of local sourcing and branding & marketing for the beer in order to select a winner. So fingers crossed for us please for the final decision! We were particularly pleased this year as we had both Good Health and Good Life in the top ten, and we were the only brewery to have two beers reach the top ten!
Secondly, the next Firkins at Full Moon will be on Friday 22nd January from 6pm and will have a Scottish theme to coincide with Burns Night. We have a special beer, GoodNess, with four other beers, including Good Health and haggis burgers as well as our usual local produce on the BBQ. Entertaining us will be Callam and Sam our regular musicians who will be performing a range of Scottish songs. Please see attached flyer.
The third thing is the World’s Biggest Quiz.. As an extra event at the brewery we are participating in the World’s Biggest Quiz. This will be held in ‘the cathedral’ at 7.30pm on Sunday 7 February 2016. So far, over 1000 pubs, clubs and bars across the UK will be taking part. The main purpose is to raise money for charity and over 500 good causes have already been nominated as the recipients of any monies raised. The cost is £5 per person to join and the winning team will receive half and half will go to a charity of their choice from the list. The quiz is 60 questions split into 6 sections. You can come as a team of up to five people or you can come individually and join a team. It is advisable to book tickets in advanced as our space is limited, either by coming to the brewery or phoning 01227 361 555 or email. Please see attached flyer.
The fourth thing to tell you is about our February Fun Firkins at Full Moon. This will be on Sunday 21st February midday until 6pm. We will have a range of board games, pub games and other fun activities to cheer up a February Sunday afternoon. Join in with any games you fancy or just come along for sociable fun and beer.
