New Courses at Commonwork

Commonwork are pleased to announce their selection of courses for the beginning of next year:

Commonwork Organic Gardening Courses 2014

10am-1pm, £25pp (concessions available, please ask)

Each of our organic vegetable growing workshops focuses on a particular aspect of organic growing. The next session looks at Composting and Sustainable Soil Care (31 Jan 2014) and will focus on why soil fertility is so crucial to organic gardening and explore sustainable ways to manage it through composting, mulching, using green manures, making liquid feeds and more. Other workshops in the series cover Practical Propagation for Beginners (28 March 2014), Organic Pest and Disease Control (13 June 2014) and Seed Saving in the Vegetable Plot (26 Sept 2014). The workshops are suitable for beginners as well as gardeners who would like to learn more about growing food.

 Commonwork Short Courses 2014

10am-4pm, £39pp (concessions available, please ask)

Learn to Bake Bread (29 March 2014) by spending a day exploring the delicious global world of bread – and bake some breads to take home!

Backyard Bees: (10 May 2014) or Backyard Chickens: (7 June 2014). Have you ever fancied keeping bees or chickens? Find out what it takes by joining one of our courses

Introduction to Permaculture (12 April 2014) to discover the principles of the permaculture design cycle through practical activities.
