Following its success in 2015, Macknade Fine Foods is hosting its second Meet the Suppliers Week from the 8th – 13th of February.
This year it is even bigger and better with more suppliers invited in-store for a special week of tastings spread over five days.
There will be a selection of suppliers – new & old – from across the various different departments at Macknade. These include Pip & Nut, O’er the Moon, Soulful Foods, Artisan Bakery and The Cheesemakers of Canterbury.
Each will be bringing plenty of samples, and there will be opportunities to talk to producers about how they make their products and what makes them special.
With Valentine’s Day only weeks away, there will also be the chance to taste Charbonnel et Walker chocolates & wine from Biddenden Vineyards – both of which would make excellent last minute gifts. The Gaia Creations team is then coming in on the Friday to showcase their candles, which are handmade in Kent.
Geraldine Turner, Head of Purchasing at Macknade, explained, “I have the privilege of tasting a range of products every week and want our customers to have that same experience. We are proud of the products we sell and hope the event encourages them to try something new.
Our last event was a real success and we had excellent feedback from both suppliers & customers. We’re looking forward to making Meet the Suppliers a regular occurrence.”
