The Kings Head & Karimix

IMG_9087 (2)Using the best produce on offer in Kent is always the foundation of the menu at The Kings Head, Wye.  Recent “Tasting Nights” have taken this to the next level by theming a monthly five course tasting menu around PINK members.

June’s night championed owner and chief creator Monica Chia of Karimix, which specializes in bringing the traditional aromas and flavours of South-East Asia and more into the modern kitchen.

Head chef Mark Tanner created a menu combined with Karimix’s flavours, and the best produce from around Kent. With dishes like marinated salmon teriyaki and Karimix teriyaki orange sauce, and chicken satay arrancini with Asian noodle salad and Karimix Satay sauce and peanut relish, things got very tasty for the packed restaurant!

With an up-coming “Wooden Spoon” event, and a tasting night in November with one of this year’s winners Stour Valley Game, it a great way of bring some of Kent’s best produce and producers to life.
