Kent breweries have managed to win one of the top three awards in every category of the SIBA regional beer competitions, with Whitstable Brewery winning Gold in the ‘Best Bitter’ for their ‘Native Bitter 3.7%’.
Rafik Abidi, Head Brewer, said ‘It is fantastic to win this prestigious award – not only a Gold in the Standard Bitters Category with Native, also the Silver with Native in the Overall Champion Category is a great reward for all our hard work and professionalism. We were absolutely thrilled to win and are so proud that our enterprise has been recognised. It is always very satisfying to be rewarded for our efforts’.
Other Produced in Kent members who won awards were: The Old Dairy Brewery, Ramsgate Brewery, Royal Tonbridge Wells Brewing Company and Wantsum Brewery.
