Enjoy a delicious ‘Fish and Chip Supper’ on board a heritage diesel or steam-hauled train as the sun sets. Look out for wildlife as the train travels through the beautiful Rother Valley between Tenterden and Bodiam, including our native Fallow deer and perhaps, if you are lucky, even catch a glimpse of a Barn Owl as it hunts across the grasslands.
The Fish and Chip Suppers are available to book on July 13, August 3, 17, 24 and September 7.
Boarding at Tenterden Station is from 6:00pm, ready for a 6:30pm departure. Every meal is freshly cooked to coincide with the train’s arrival at Northiam Station. During the scenic 10½ mile journey to Bodiam Station in East Sussex, tea, coffee, wine and locally brewed beer will be available from the at-seat trolley service (additional charge applies). Locally produced ice creams are also available.
The train will pause at Bodiam to allow passengers to view the historic Cavell Van, which depicts the story of war heroes the Unknown Warrior, Captain Fryatt and Nurse Edith Cavell, will be open to view at Bodiam Station. Souvenirs are also available from the Gift Shop. The train is scheduled to arrive back in Tenterden at around 9.15pm.
The cost is £25.95 for adults and children aged 3-15 are £19.50.
