Spring has most definitely sprung on the Isle of Sheppey, with the team at The Ferry House barely having time to celebrate their title of Best Kent Dining Pub 2014 at the Taste of Kent Awards before they have a whole host of new additions to look after.
From new calves at Old Rides Farm, to the first lot of new born lambs of the year being born.
The sheep in the solar field are employed as the ‘lawn mowers’ and have been very busy keeping the grass down and looking after their new lambs.
Here’s a few dates for the diary if you’d like to come and have a look at the new additions – as well as a fab lunch!
8th June 2014 – Open Farm Sunday
Old Rides Farm opens its gates to the public for the second year running for an exciting day out on a real working farm. Take a wander around the farm and learn about the day-to-day of farming, enjoy amazing locally
