Families are invited to come along to The Kent & East Sussex Railway in Tenterden on 26 to 28 July 2014 to meet everyone’s favourite steam locomotive, Thomas the Tank Engine.
Thomas will be at Tenterden Station throughout each day together with some of his friends including Sir Topham Hatt, The Fat Controller.
Tickets cost £15.00 per adult and £12.50 per child and a family ticket is £48.00. Tickets include a 70 minute train ride to Northiam Station behind one of the Railway’s engines, the chance to enjoy “Thomas & Friends” station scenarios as well as a fun packed programme of children’s events with Uncle Myles and Charlie the Clown. There will be a giant television screen playing “Thomas & Friends” DVD’s for children to watch. Families can also enjoy face painting, roundabout rides, a bouncy castle and colouring activities.
There will be regular Annie & Clarabel rides at Tenterden Station behind Thomas. A free sticker for every child and a free A5 size ‘Day Out With Thomas’ Certificate is available from Mrs Kyndley. Children can also help to fill an engine’s boiler with water.
There will be a fun sing-along session and a special coal cake presentation for Thomas each day.
Watch the popular Punch & Judy shows at 11:30am and 14:10pm and in between enjoy Uncle Myles and Billy the Magic Rabbit’s entertaining magic show and balloon fun at 12.50pm and 3.30pm.
Other delights not to be missed include the “Imagination Station” with an interactive storyboard and Thomas themed dressing up, as well as the special “Thomas & Friends” souvenir shop, which will be selling gifts to help families remember their special day!
In the Tenterden Station Restaurant visitors can enjoy freshly prepared dishes supplemented by a delicious take away BBQ.

Fares include a one hour ten minute return train journey as well as all the activities shown above. Adult: £15.00 Child: 18 months -15 years inclusive £12.50, Family £48.00.
Those wishing to make their day extra special can upgrade their ticket to a first class seat for an extra £3.00 per adult and £2.00 per child.
Babies under 18 months are free of charge, providing they do not occupy a seat.
Trains depart promptly so visitors are advised to arrive at least 30 minutes before departure. On each day the Kent & East Sussex Railway opens at 10am to allow visitors to take full advantage of all the activities on offer.
