Kent Association for the Blind helps people with sight loss and visual impairment continue to enjoy life to the full and to ensure that they maintain their independent lives.
One of the main areas that our clients may struggle with is in the preparation, cooking and eating of their favourite foods and we help them gain confidence to carry on with this most basic, yet most important of life skills.
We provide simple, easy to use ‘bump-ons’, which are literally small plastic self-adhesive bumps which attach to your cooker / microwave / grill, so that our clients can feel when they have reached the right temperature setting, thereby ensuring the food is cooked correctly.
Our liquid level indicators assist with the safe and accurate preparation of hot drinks, again a very important element of most people’s everyday lives.
