Charlotte Deme, Chegworth Valley – Best Greengrocer award 2014
Chegworth Valley has been voted ‘Best Greengrocer’ as well as winning ‘Best Product’ in the second annual Slow Food London Awards. The awards are based entirely on public votes and aim to recognise companies that put quality sourcing at the heart of the business – something that Chegworth Valley certainly does.
The two London shops, one at Borough Market, (awarded ‘Best Market’ at the same awards), and the other on Kensington Church Street, are supplied with fresh produce from the family owned & run farm in Kent, with daily deliveries into each. Chegworth Valley also produce a range of farm-pressed juices made using fruit from the farm and pressed and bottled on site which scooped the ‘Best Product’ award.

“We are over the moon to have won not one but two slow food awards.” Commented David Deme, owner, Chegworth Valley. “ We are very unique in that we are farmers growing a wide range of produce and making juices, as well as having our own two London shops where this is sold.”
To have both the shops as well as the juice voted as winners by the public shows the support that Chegworth Valley has and makes the days and hours put in by David, Linda, Ben & Charlotte & the Chegworth team all the more worthwhile.
