10407093_692201390897344_2242629818911171825_nJuly’s Ashford Famers’ Market is going to be an extra special event because we are delighted to be celebrating our second birthday!

Our birthday bash market will be held on Sunday 3rd July from 10am to 2pm on the Lower High Street. It will have everything from homemade delights by our much-loved traders to music and entertainment from local artists.

A host of new guest traders will be joining our regulars this month for our special birthday market, adding to our huge offering of sweet and savoury treats. Pick up some refreshing cider from Gibbet Oak Cider, a sweet treat from Deelicious Cakes and some international delights from The French Delicatessen. What’s more, we will have Ritoweg Farm and Stour Valley Game who specialise in delicious exotic meats, as well as Romney Marsh Brewery who will be selling their locally brewed ale and beers at a pop-up bar.

There will also be free samples of Mead for visitors to try at the Loveashford stall to celebrate the market’s 2nd birthday.

But that’s not all. We will have a selection of delicious street food on offer to tempt visitors. Pick up a hearty hot breakfast from Jays Catering, tantalise your taste buds with some paella from Joe’s Paella or enjoy some finger food from Blue Egg Catering.

We are also delighted to welcome Park Mall’s brand new tearoom, The Little Teapot, who will be open for business on 11th July. They will be offering up a selection of homemade cakes and cookies for visitors to sample ahead of their opening.

Calling all fabric fanatics – Emporia Fabric and Crafts will be at the market selling their stylish textiles and sewing accessories to celebrate their first year of trading in Park Mall.

What’s more, we will be giving away some fabulous freebies for our visitors including a special Ashford Farmers’ Market calendar which highlights useful information such as monthly seasonal foods, national food celebration days and of course when the farmers market falls each month!

Visitors can also pick up their free copy of the new Ashford Heritage Trail and enter a special competition. Simply tweet an interesting or fun fact about Ashford and post in on Twitter with the hashtag #loveashford to be in with the chance of winning a family ticket to the Willesborough Windmill. Pick up your copy from the Loveashford stall where you can also grab yourself a free Loveashford tote bag, plus pens and more.

As you enjoy your food, soak up the atmosphere by listening to the musical stylings of Nathan Walker as well as classic 50s tunes by DJ Gideon on Vinyl.
