Marourde was founded by William Boscawen in 2016 when he moved back to Kent to manage the family farm. He was inspired by all that the Garden of England had to offer.
Some of the best fruit, hops and honey in the country are grown and produced on our land and the farms around us. After months of experimenting and building our own craft meadery, we created a sparkling mead, using mostly local ingredients. The recipe recalls what was commonplace 200 years ago. But we have refreshed it.
We are based in an old hop farm on the edge of Mereworth, which has been in William’s family for generations. In homage, we gave our product the name MAROURDE which is the historic name for the town.
The finest honeys from our farms are blended with other floral honeys. We then slowly ferment these with water and yeasts to create this crisp, gently sparkling mead.
Available in the following flavours: Original, Goldings Hops, and Herbs and Spices.
