Firstly, we are delighted to be in the top three of the Taste of Kent Awards for the fourth time in a row! Thank you to all of you who voted for us! We have been invited to attend the Awards Dinner where Good Life will be subjected to a panel of specialist judges looking for ‘taste, demonstration of local sourcing and branding and marketing for the product and/or the business’. Please keep your fingers crossed for us!!
Our last Firkins at Full Moon was a very successful quiz evening. The total entry fees were donated to the charity of the winning team’s choice and £70 has been donated to Pilgrims Hospice. Following the success of the quiz night we are considering holding a quiz night on a regular basis perhaps once a month but separately from the Firkins at Full Moon evening. If this is something you would be interested in please let us know.
Our next Firkins at Full Moon event is this Friday 10th February from 6.30pm. This month will be a Barn Dance and Musical Evening! We will have the Royster Catchers who will provide the music and caller, as well as the talented Witsend who again will be playing accordion and banjo as they did last year at ‘the cathedral’. It should be a perfect Valentine event! There is no charge for entry and we will have at least five firkins on the bar, including our new, special winter warmer ale. We will also have our delicious BBQ serving local produce. Please see attached flyer for full details.
