Here’s to Kent’s Local Food!

Sourcing, preparing and serving fresh, local produce from within miles of The Ambrette restaurants are some of the best parts of my job, and The Ambrette is founded on this resourceful, healthy and environmentally friendly approach to cooking.

My menus are inspired by the produce of the Garden of England, featuring dishes full of ingredients sourced that have been sustainably sourced from the fields and the farms of Kent and Sussex.

We’re currently serving our ‘Kent Tasting Menu’, seven courses of the best of Kentish produce, fused with aromatic spices and transformed using cooking techniques from global cuisines. See the menu here.

We have created the map below to celebrate and showcase our local suppliers, who provide the three restaurants with delicious, fresh produce throughout the year. It’s often conversations with these people that inspire the dishes I serve; they know the ingredients best afterall!
