Ashford Farmers’ Market prides itself on having some of Kent’s finest and award-winning producers, which makes shopping in Ashford a truly unique experience. The market has proved itself as a popular destination for the first Sunday of the month. You can stroll down the cobbles of the Lower High Street, scoop up delicious home grown food and drink, and listen to fabulous live music from local artists including tunes from our own resident retro vinyl DJ.
Seasonal fruit and vegetables, artisan cheese, locally brewed beer and cider, free range meats, local honey and juices, plus handmade bread and pastries are just some of the delights on offer at Ashford Farmers’ Market. Visitors can also treat themselves to an array of indulgent delights such as handmade cakes, pies and pastries, chocolates and fudge.
As you browse the stalls, visitors can soak up the buzzing atmosphere and smell terrific aromas from the Chef Demonstration tent. What’s more, many traders offer samples of their produce to passing visitors. You can pick up hot gourmet breakfast rolls, wild game in a bun and sensuous Jamaican soul food; at Ashford Farmers’ Market, there’s something for everyone.
With Christmas fast approaching, there will be two markets in December. On Sunday 6th December Kent Turkeys will be doing live cooking demonstrations and giving out tasty samples too. In addition, they will be offering handy cooking tips so you can roast your turkey to perfection on Christmas day!
The second market will take place on 20th December between 4pm and 7pm. Come and enjoy the festive atmosphere as you browse the gleaming gazebos under the Christmas lights and enjoy the live music and street entertainment. It will be a truly magical event!
