Hidden away in the beautiful Kent countryside, the Hush Heath Estate near Staplehurst is open to visitors and wine-lovers to experience tours and tastings.
Hush Heath Estate produces one of England’s most iconic and exclusive award winning sparkling wines using traditional champagne methods. Perfect for corporate entertainment, company away-days or simply a fun day out with family and friends, group tours offer a great way to relax and enjoy a taste of one of Kent’s finest wine producers.
New for 2016, groups of over 20 can take advantage of a reduced rate of £10 per person for a guided tour with one of the Estate’s winery experts (normally £15 per person).
Tours at Hush Heath take guests through the most magical countryside including beautifully maintained meadows, apple orchards and ancient oak woodlands. Visitors can learn about all aspects of grape growing and tours include a visit to the state of the art winery where the sparkling wine process is explained. Finally, there is a tutored tasting of the Estate’s still and sparkling wines and new range of ciders either inside the shop or on the attractive terrace overlooking the 400 acre estate.
The award winning wines and ciders are also available to purchase in the shop.
Tours must be booked in advance and the winery offers a lunch option of a picnic box for two at £25. These must also be booked in advance and can be served outside on the terrace or in the shelter of the winery.
Each box includes:
- 1 “Kentish” pork pie
- 125ml jar of The “Goudhurst Inn” home-made Piccalilli
- 100g of Parkers English Haystack Cheddar
- 180g of WoodChurch ham
- 1 bag of The Goudhurst Inn’s home roasted mixed bar nuts
- 1 bag of The Goudhurst Inn’s “Scratching’s”
- 1 portion of Netherend Farm salted butter
- 4 slices of freshly baked granary bread
- Seasonal fruit (Apples from Jake’s Orchard), vegetables or locally sourced celery
The Hush Heath Estate and winery shop are open every day including bank holidays from 11am to 5pm. Keep an eye on the website for Christmas hours which alter in December.
There is ample free parking for cars and coaches and the carpark is located next to Hush Heath Winery.

Visitors to Hush Heath Estate can also choose to combine their visit with the nearby refurbished Goudhurst Inn which offers delicious food and fabulous views over the Weald of Kent.
