Beer lovers invited to free tasting evening at Macknade

Macknade Fine Foods is hosting its very first Beer Tasting Evening on Friday October 16th.

Guests are invited to meet and talk to over ten different brewers, who will each bring along a selection of different beers to sample and compare.

Brewers will be sharing their knowledge of the beers on-taste and introducing guests to ranges they might not have tried before. Special deals will also be running on all the drinks available to sample that night. For those who aren’t beer drinkers, there will also be cider tastings from Kentish Pip and Turners Cider.

Chapel Down LogoEllie Gann is the Drinks Buyer at Macknade and works closely with all the brewers. She commented, “The evening is a celebration of something the South-East does very well… brewing! We have a number of brewers joining us from around the area – some that are microbreweries and others who export worldwide. Each of these will be bringing something unique to the evening and there are others I’m hoping to confirm nearer the time! There has been a huge rise in the number of craft beer drinkers in the last few years, so it is an opportune moment to host an event where guests can meet the brewers themselves and learn about the processes involved.”
