Since opening their doors in July, the Austen’s have been rushed off their feet, and have quickly become a valuable asset to Rochester High Street.
Originally opening as a high quality fruit & veg shop, their offerings have rapidly expanded to include local meat, cheeses, free range eggs, juices, and most recently dairy. After requests from locals, they have become the first retailer in Rochester to supply milk, cream and yogurts from a local dairy – Hinxden Dairy of Hawkhurst – winners of no less than 6 awards at the International Cheese Awards this year!
Austen’s have also recently launched a free delivery service to the Medway towns, enabling the general public to receive evening deliveries of great quality, local & seasonal fruit and veg, as well as many other products available in the shop.
Despite the short time they have been open, they have already started supplying several local restaurants, as well providing elderly customers with special offers on Wednesdays & Thursdays – providing a vital service to the local community.
