Stuck for Christmas present ideas? Get inspired at the Brocante and Vintage Market taking place at the Kings Head in Wye on Saturday, December 6.
Licensees Mark Lightford and Scott Richardson are holding the free event in the covered coaching alley
It will take place from 9am to 12 noon, and feature a small number of stalls selling vintage, antique and craft goods. Mark and Scott will also be selling a selection of homemade cakes and snacks, including sausage rolls and Scotch eggs, along with the pub’s popular organic dog biscuits.
Scott said: “Mark and I took some of our food to the Wye Farmers’ Market three months ago, and it proved incredibly popular, so it prompted us to think about hosting our own event. We are really interested in antique and vintage goods, and there are a lot of people in Wye and the surrounding villages who are involved in that area, so we decided to organise a Brocante and Vintage Market.”
He added: “We have organised it to coincide with the latest Wye Farmers’ Market, so hopefully the combination of the two events will encourage people to visit the village and support local businesses.”
