Upholding a fine tradition of always responding to their customers, Fudge Kitchen has answered the call for liquorice fudge with an equally characteristic commitment to authenticity and quality.
Their exhaustive hunt for a superior liquorice syrup befitting their fudge took them across the Baltic Sea, via the small Danish Island of Bornholm, where the ultimate liquorice geek, 26 year old Johan Bülow had spent seven years perfecting the ultimate liquorice recipe in his very sticky kitchen; and on to Copenhagen where the LAKRIDS by Johan Bülow brand has grown into the zenith of organic, gourmet liquorices.
With this precious elixir under her arm, Fudge Kitchen food technologist Julie Crenn magicked (for there can be no other explanation) it into our new Sweet and Salty Liquorice slim slider fudge. A sextet of three sweet and three salty dense cubes of dark, creamy, hand decorated fudge, nestling in a gilt sliding tray. A sublime fusion of the aniseedy, salty liquorice bite and the sweet, creaminess of fudge.
