Taste the Best of Produced in Kent 2014 was a great day, so thank you for all who worked and came down to support us. We had 42 stall holders, over 1800 visitors and a fantastic £4,880 was raised for Kent Air Ambulance. (£800 more than last year!)
AWARDS Also the results from UKVA The English & Welsh Wine of the Year competition have been released. This year we entered 3 wines; our Gribble Bridge White & Rose (both achieving silver awards) and our Ortega (which won a bronze award)
Shows & Events
Our next event at the vineyard is The Changeling Theatre’s production of Romeo & Juliet on 16th July. There will be a free guided tour of the vineyard and then Changeling Theatre will act their performance of Romeo & Juliet at 7.30pm. There will be a Biddenden bar open at night, picnics welcome. Tickets are on sale here at the vineyard, or you can buy them at Changeling box office for £17.50, 01622 758611.
July also means Kent County Show, this is 11th, 12th and 13th. We have 3 stands at Kent Show. We have the Clearly Juice stall in the food tent, we have a stand in the Produced in Kent area and we also host the English wine & Cheese tent. This years English Wine & Cheese Tent has Dorset Artisan Cheese, Mat Cat Brewery, Hush Heath Vineyard, Bolney Vineyard, Cheddar Cheese Company and Harrington Foods. With an anticipated 75,000 visitors to the show ground, it is an event not to be missed.
